Highlight Products Available for Backorder with a Label
The Backorder label helps you inform your retailers when a product is out of stock but still available for purchase. By enabling this feature, you provide clear communication about product availability and ensure a smoother ordering process for your Buyers.
Accessing the Products Section
To manage product settings, start by clicking on ⚙️ Settings in the menu on the left-hand side. Then, click on Products.
Once inside the Products section, you will see nine subcategories:
- New products
- Out of stock
- Backorders
- Stock visibility
- Sort options
- Product card
- Shipping motivator
- Buyer data export
- Favorites
Once inside the Products section, you will see multiple subcategories, including Backorders. The following sections explain how to activate and customize the Backorder label.
Enabling the Backorder Label
To make the Backorder label visible to your retailers, navigate to Settings > Products > Backorders.
To activate the label, turn on the switch "Make visible for buyers shop".
- Switch turned off: The label is not displayed.
- Switch turned on: The label appears for products available on backorder.
Customizing the Backorder Label
You have several customization options to ensure the label aligns with your brand identity.
- Banner Header: Define your own text for the label’s title.
- Descriptive Text: Customize the message displayed below the banner header.
- Colors: Adjust both the text and banner background colors to match your brand.
To change the colors, click on the color fields. You can either drag the marker to find a suitable shade or enter a HEX color code for precise branding.
Combining the Label with 'Allow Backorders'
You can choose to display the Backorder label only when the 'Allow Backorders' setting is enabled on a product. This means the label will only appear when:
- The Allow Backorders option is activated on the product.
- The product's stock level is equal to or below 0.
What Does It Look Like in My Shop?
When a product is available for backorder, the label will be displayed directly on the product card, making it clear to Buyers that the item can still be purchased despite being out of stock.
